Been a U2 fan for 27 years, been to several shows on this tour and I will admit that #1 reason for me buying tickets for Sunday was U2. However, as I said to my dear wife on our subway ride back to Queens...that Gavin Friday show was a lot more fun than the U2 shows. The key is what you said 17 minutes into this interview... the spontaneity. That was a fun show. Not some cheesy back slapping "hey lovies" affair but a show filled with people that looked like they were genuine friends and loved each other's company and music. Hope someone escorted Shane MacGowan home or at least got him a cab. Genius of a show in its simplicity but magic.

This is a great interview Gavin!

I still vividly recall seeing you a couple of times outside the Hanover Quay-studio, way back...around 2003/2004? Anyway, I remember thinking "What a hottie!" - I´m glad that hasn´t changed! ; )))) I´ve been checking out some old stuff on Youtube, and there´s a really funny one of you doing "Daddy Cool" (girl posting it apparently had a photofrenzy at the same time, but it´s still fun to watch) - a lot of tail-wiggeling going on there! Ladies, beware of them Irish dogs - they´re a bunch of charming rascals the lot of them! ; )

So again, Gorgeous Gavin - Have a Happy Beautiful Birthday! Hopefully one day I get the chance to say something a little more elaborate in person than "Cool pants!" ; ) (And yes, those ARE funky shoes! : ))))
