Marc Ribot

Guitarist and composer Marc Ribot’s earliest session work was with Tom Waits’, on the album Rain Dogs. His playing helped define Waits’ musical direction and he has since appeared on many of Waits’ albums. He has also worked with John Zorn, David Sylvian, The Lounge Lizards, Elvis Costello, Marianne Faithfull, Maria McKee, Robert Plant & Alison Kraus and many others including Gavin Friday. Marc was part of the band that recorded his first solo album “Each Man Kills The Thing He Loves”.

He has released 19 albums as a solo artist and worked on film scores for “The Kids Are All Right”, “Where the Wild Things Are” and Scorcese’s “The Departed”.

Marc is currently touring with the Marc Ribot Trio, Ceramic Dog, Border Music (with David Hidalgo), and with Caged Funk.
