LP/CD: Coil – Scatology

Gavin Friday - Coil - Scatology (LP, CD)

Scatology was the first full length studio album by Coil, the English cross-genre, experimental music group formed in 1982 by John Balance (aka “Jhonn Balance”) and Peter (“Sleazy”) Christopherson, both founding members of Psychic TV.

The single Panic/Tainted Love became the first AIDS benefit music release, as the profits from sales of the single were donated to the Terrence Higgins Trust. The Tainted Love music video, directed by Peter Christopherson, is on permanent display at The Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Gavin Friday sings the song “Tenderness of Wolves”.
