The show takes place on Wednesday, August 8.

The Klinkers concert is staged on the inner court of “Gruuthuse” city palace in the historical city centre of Bruges.

The last time Gavin Friday played Bruges was July 13, 1996 when he headlined the Cactus Festival. Festival director Patrick Keersebilck picked Gavin performance among his personal highlights and remembers it as follows: “One of the most beautiful concerts at Cactus, if you ask me. In a way Gavin Friday’s performance personified the identity of our festival.”

Tickets & Pricing
Tickets are € 12.00 + 1.50 (pre-sale) and € 15.00 (box office) and are on sale from Cactus Muziekcentrum.

In the event of rain being forecast the ‘KLINKERS INTIEM’ concerts will be held in the City Theatre. The advance booking for the pay-at-the-gate concerts is limited by the seating capacity of the City Theatre. If the pay-at-the-gate concerts, as planned, are held in the Gruuthuse, there will be an extra 300 seats available. The tickets for those seats can only be bought at the box office of the Gruuthuse itself (open from 7.30 pm onwards, on the day of the concert).

Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth) is also on the bill.

Gavin is excited to return to Antwerp so soon after his triumphant show at the Crossing Border festival in 2011.

Located in Antwerp’s Rivierenhof park in the Deurne district, the annual Openluchttheater Festival is one of the city’s biggest summer draws.

New Dublin Voices will take to the stage again to perform some contemporary classics, preparing the way for two of Ireland’s most exciting bands: I Draw Slow and Prison Love.

I Draw Slow is a five-piece group comprised of vocals, guitar, fiddle, banjo and double bass. The five have created a new sound, rooted in the old time style of the Appalachian Mountains. Drawing on Irish traditional music and modern Americana, they tell dark tales of debauchery and trouble.
Prison Love formed late one night round a campfire in a field just the other side of Dunmore East in 2001. Their passion for bluegrass, old-time, gospel and Cajun music has been enjoyed at major festivals all across the country, Europe and in the US.

It has been sixteen years since the last time Gavin Friday graced the stage of this iconic venue in the Dutch capital, to promote his album Shag Tobacco on October 6, 1995. This time he will be touring The Netherlands and Belgium to showcase his new album ‘catholic’, released earlier this year.

Dutch fans will be getting a taster of Gavin Friday live at the Crossing Border festival in The Hague this month (18-11). Tickets for this festival have sold out.

Tickets for the Paradiso show go on sale at 10am this Saturday, November 12 and cost 25 euro (+ 3 euro membership).
