The event is presented by the British Academy of Composers and Songwriters in association with the Performing Right Society.

The ‘In America’ soundtrack will be released on Warners in the U.K. and Ireland on November 21st. In the U.S.A. the album is on Atlantic Records, out on November 25th.

‘In America’ by Irish director Jim Sheridan has won the Grand Price for Best Film at the 30th International Filmfestival Flanders-Ghent, Belgium. Producer Arthur Lappin accepted the EUR25,000 award. (Yahoo report)

Gavin and Maurice wrote the film’s score.

You can watch a trailer including Gavin and Maurice’s music on Fox Searchlight’s site. The song for the film, written by Friday, Seezer and Bono and sung by Andrea Corr has been recorded. Gavin and Maurice will be working with Sheridan within the next few weeks to add the song to the film.
