103.2 Dublin City FM is airing the radio documentary “Accents and Prestige”. Produced and presented by Heather MacLeod and Gerard Counihan with support of the BCI Sound and Vision Broadcasting Funding Scheme, “Accents and Prestige” discusses and explores how accent affects our everyday lives, what accent means to us and the psychology behind recognising, mimicking and developing accents.
The programme includes insightful and interesting contributions from some of Ireland’s leading linguistic experts and personalities including Bertie Ahern, David Norris and Gavin Friday. The programme will be aired this Friday 21st August at 10am on 103.2 Dublin City FM and is available for live streaming at www.dublincityfm.ie. From next week the programme will be available as a podcast at www.macloudmusic.podomatic.com
