‘Angel’ on William Orbit 3-CD set

Gavin Friday’s ‘Angel’ is featured on ‘Odyssey’, a 3-CD set of producer William Orbit’s work compiled for Ministry of Sound, due out on 25th January.

‘Odyssey’ is Orbit’s first compilation. It features 42 tracks divided into 3 discs (see tracklisting). Discs 1 and 2 are unmixed, with many tracks reinterpreted to a greater or lesser extent, and Disc 3 is a continuous mix. Orbit has written sleeve notes on each track and invites fans to add their own memories and information on the tracks through Twitter (@WilliamOrbit) and his blog.

At the risk of looking like a complete idiot – is this the “Romeo + Juliet”-soundtrack version?Losing the “bottom-end” like that (Romeo+Juliet)= big mistake in my eyes (and ears). I so prefer the “Shag Tobacco”-version (Best Album Ever – so far… ; )). It is a “floating-up-in-the-air-of-joy”-song, but I love the “anchoring” in the Shag Tobacco-take, much more sensual. Leonardo DiCaprio not much of a hunk in my eyes, perhaps the more “boyish” version suits his film better!

Anyway – More Gavin Music = A Better World!
(In whatever way, shape or form.)

I asked William Orbit and he says it is the Romeo+Juliet mix.

Hahaha, Dicaprio kills it in his latest movie. I wish I’d never seen Inception! It’s such a awesome movie that I think it killed the chances for me to enjoy any other movie!
