Michael Blair

Michael Blair is an American drummer and percussionist who has worked on records and tours with Tom Waits (Rain Dogs, Franks Wild Years), Elvis Costello (King of America, Spike and Lou Reed (Magic and Loss). As a writer/arranger he has collaborated with legendary beat poet Allen Ginsberg, and as a producer he has worked with Victoria Williams, Ryan Adams and Soul Asylum.

He played drums on Gavin Friday’s first solo album “Each Man Kills The Thing He Loves” and played live with him on various occasions including the November 1989 USA tour and the string of shows at Dublin’s Tivoli Theatre performing Gavin’s tribute to Kurt Weill, “Ich Liebe Dich”.

Michael uses his experience in his workshops and seminars focused on creativity, expression and production all around Sweden, his current home.
